Dropping by for only two European and a handful of British dates in support of her lush new album “Outlaster”, Nina plans to leave the Admirals Palast Foyer in tears if the album opener “Cry, Cry, Baby” is anything to go by. One of the best singers of recent years, this lady is top class entertainment. Having recorded her last album with Jim White of Dirty Three (pictured) and having had all of her six albums to date produced by Steve Albini you start to get the picture. This lady is here for the long-haul. She’s an Outlaster. As one writer said of her music, “Her countrified songs often begin as gothic lullabies, swallowed up in darkness and longing, as if the instruments themselves were suffering heartbreak”.
